Interactive Trial Jan 2006
Further to the trial that took place in December 2005, the same kit was utilised with the addition of an IR lamp to provide greater range and diameter of captured area on-stage. This trial took place in a studio at CAE, 96 Flinders St, Melb.
A successful performer "grab" of a projected video file was made and moved around the backstage wall. It was noticed that the video projection jittered slightly as the blob COG moved around due to the source dimensions being the same as the projected dimensions. This jittering has now been removed with a deltaV/deltaT function, though it is yet to be trialled under theatre conditions. A short video demonstrating this is available in the Library section.
A future trial under suitable conditions has been planned for the end of January to demonstrate these new functions.
