1. If any of your contact details have changed, please let us know. We’d like to thank everyone for braving the wintry weather to come SAILing each and every Saturday. We’d also like to extend a warm welcome to all the new volunteers that have joined us recently. Watching the campus boom like it has is absolutely mindboggling, and we can look forward to even more growth to come. SAILAway with Yarrilinks Thanks to the generosity of the crew at Yarrilinks, most of our families were able to attend a tree planting camp out at Warracknabeal. The camp saw SAILors planting a heap of trees, playing soccer and netball with locals and other groups, and learning about life on the farm. A big thanks to the local families who hosted SAILors in their homes and made everyone feel welcome. Thanks also to the SAILors who endured the long bus trip to participate in a fun-filled weekend. Setting SAIL On Time Thanks to everyone for arriving on time and helping to setup for the day. This is a huge help as it means we are able to start SAILing at 11am. Just a reminder that we ask you to arrive at 10:50am so we can commence tutoring as soon as possible. If you are having difficulty arriving at 10:50am, or the SAILors you pick up are taking a long time to get ready, please let Kathryn or Simon know and we will do our best to assist. Housekeeping Matters We’d like to extend a thank you to everyone for helping to clean up after tutoring time. Just a reminder to please ensure that all games and books that are borrowed from the library are returned to their respective places. It helps to keep things together, and sets a great example for the younger SAILors. Thanks also for filling out the ‘can’t come’ form for the weeks you are unable to attend SAIL. It’s a big help with keeping things organised and consistent on Saturdays. Thank you for being part of the biggest growing SAIL campus. Smooth SAILing, Simon, Kathryn, Nik and Cara. |
